Theatre Trust.
Featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sunset
Boulevard weaves a magnificent tale of
faded glory and unfulfilled ambition. Silent movie
star Norma Desmond longs for a return to the big
screen, having been discarded by Tinseltown with the
advent of ‘talkies.’ Her glamour has faded in all but

their subsequent passionate and volatile relationship

June 1 thru August
4, 2013 - Clybourne Park -
Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the 2012 Tony Award for Best
Play, Bruce Norris’ satiric comedy deals with race and
class in response to Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in
the Sun. The play begins in 1959 as a black family
moves into a white neighborhood in Chicago, and in Act
Two takes us to the same house in 2009 as
gentrification sets in and the roles are reversed.
Jokes fly and hidden agendas unfold as two generations
tiptoe through social politics, pitting race against
real estate. The New York Times hailed it “ferociously
smart” and Variety raved, “Yes, it’s dangerous and
provocative, but pulverizingly funny to boot!”

Student Theatre Camp Experience Rises To Top
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ renowned summer theatre
camp program, CHAN DT MUSICAL THEATRE
CAMP, returns this summer with exciting new
themes for youths and teens. Since 1994, over
11,000 kids and teens have learned about the magic of
musical theatre as only Chanhassen can do it. This
educational camp program is also terrific summertime
fun. Kids and teens, ages eight to eighteen, are given
opportunities to explore a wide spectrum of musical
theatre components including voice, movement,
costumes, scenery, stage combat, improv and more --
all taught by professional members of the Chanhassen
acting company, designers and choreographers making
the CDT student theatre experience rise above other
offered theatre camp programs. Camp sessions are
available throughout the summer months for both half
and full day, week-long sessions. This makes the
perfect gift for grandchildren who love musical
theatre or are looking to make new friends and boost
confidence. To register or receive more info, call the
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ box office at 952-934-1525
or go online to
www.chanhassendt.com to watch a video and learn
more.
