Community and Events Billboard:

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres:  brings you another new Main Stage show with the contagiously delightful Broadway musical, HAIRSPRAY!  Winner of eight Tony Awards (out of thirteen nominations) including Best Musical, running now through May 26th, 2012. While a sweet confection loaded with classic ‘60s teen fashions, outrageous hairstyles, dancing and music, HAIRSPRAY also addresses racial injustices prevalent in 1960 America with valuable lessons to reflect on. For a taste of Broadway, visit Chanhassen Dinner Theatre!  Over the past 42 years, Chanhassen has entertained more than ten million guests and is considered a premiere entertainment establishment offering warmth, charm and elegance to all who visit.  For reservations, go to www.ChanhassenDT.comCall 952-934-1525 or toll free, 800-362-3515.  For groups of 15 or more, call 952-934-1547 or toll free, 800-355-6273.

Opening on the Fireside in January 2012 is one of Chanhassen’s most popular and well-loved hit musicals, Forever Plaid! An affectionate musical homage to the close-harmony 'guy groups' that reached the height of popularity during the 1950s, the fabulous foursome in Forever Plaid  has been winning over audiences for the last two decades. Fantastically funny, and timelessly tuneful, this clean-cut musical revue features 50s-style crooning and hilarious antics that will leave you in awe have you laughing yourself to tears. They perform precision harmonies, squabble boyishly and execute their delightfully outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision.  Filled with dozens of nostalgic ‘50s pop hits including: “Catch a Falling Star,” “Chain Gang,” “Day-O,” “Heart and Soul,” “Love is A Many Splendored Thing, “  “Three Coins in the Fountain” and many, many more! Join the legions of Forever Plaid fans and celebrate good music and hilarity.  Forever Plaid will continue through March 2012.  For reservations, go to www.ChanhassenDT.comCall 952-934-1525 or toll free, 800-362-3515.  For groups of 15 or more, call 952-934-1547 or toll free, 800-355-6273.
