No matter your age, you or your parents don't have to be a victim of a stroke.

To recognize the signs of a Stroke - Remember the initials S.T.R. and now Tongue, too.

Stroke Symptoms:
A Neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours of onset of symptoms, he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke!

S.: Ask the person to SMILE
T.: Ask the person to TALK
R.: Ask the person to RAISE both arms

If the victim has difficulty with any of these tasks, call 911 immediately!

Another sign of a stroke - have the person stick out their tongue.  If it is crooked and/or goes to one side or the other, seek immediate medical attention.
